Body amd neck options for a first build

Hi all,

I'm ready to start my first build and have been looking to some options for body and neck. I know kits come with electronics and hardware but I'd probably ending replacing most of them anyway so really the body and neck are going to be the main criteria.

I have some options: Precision Guitar, Warmoth, Solo, and Fretwire. Do you guys have any recommendation based on body and neck?

I'm not looking for the most expensive one but at the same time I'd like to take my time to put together something nice, that will sound good for a DIY guitar.

Also, what should I look in terms of wood? One piece body? One piece fret?
